Jose Jaime Cortes, 48, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020, at his home surrounded by family members.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15th at First Baptist Church with Rev. Beto Prado officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jose, the son of Jose Cortes Avila and Cleofas Rodriguez Neave, was born May 8, 1972, in San Felipe, GTO, Mexico.
He was employed at Richard Drake Construction where he had many friends. Jose was a member of First Baptist Church – Paris. He was an outgoing person and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Maria, his mother, Cleofas, six children; Noemi Cortes & spouse, Jaime Cortes & spouse, Missael Cortes, Jasmine Hernandez & spouse, Jose Miguel Cortes & spouse, and Juan Jonas Hernandez, nine grandchildren, siblings; Martin Cortes, Juan Carlos Cortes, Josefina Cortes, Veronica Cortes, Gema Cortes, and Marisol Cortes, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Jaime Cortes, Missael Cortes, Jose Cortes, Juan Hernandez, Martin Cortes, and Juan Carlos Cortes.
