Jeffrey Cade Mahan, age 19, of Honey Grove, was suddenly and tragically taken from this life in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 9th, 2018.

Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors will conduct funeral services 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Honey Grove High School Gymnasium with Minister Nolan Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery in Tigertown.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the funeral home.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Coe Caraway, Hayden Lane, Rylee Stoltenberg, Weston Aycock, Dax Stewart, Bailey Mercer, and Hank Honea.

Cade was born March 23, 1999, to Jeffrey Ray Mahan and Andrea Easley Mahan in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He graduated from Honey Grove High School with the Class of 2017. He was enrolled at Paris Junior College and worked for Mahan’s Welding Service.

Cade was a quick-witted jokester who enjoyed aggravating those around him. His pranks would last until they could take no more, yet he always had them laughing. He enjoyed sports, none as much as football and baseball. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who aspired to become a game warden. Cade was admired and loved deeply by numerous friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by many.

Cade is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Andrea Mahan; a sister, Whitney Mahan, of Tigertown; grandparents, Bryan and Windy Raper, of Honey Grove; a grandmother, Mary Davis, of Weatherford; an aunt, Ashley Easley, of Paris; uncles, Rowdy Easley, of Paris; Fillip Gann, of Paris; Bradley Gann, and wife Callie, of Roxton; cousins, Dixie Davis, Rhett Easley, Wyatt Easley, Dani Easley, Emerson Gann, Gentry Gann; two great-grandmothers, Martha Waldrop, and Freda Anderson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
