A house located north of Paris, on a private road off Highway 195, exploded around 6 a.m. this morning sending debris flying and knocking out nearby power lines.
Residents close to the home say the explosion was so loud it woke them up and rattled their homes.
The Lamar Electric Cooperative posted the photo on their Facebook page saying, “A house exploded this morning North of Paris off highway 195 and the debris knocked the nearby power line off. This is all that remains of the home.”
Officials say that no one was in the home when it exploded and the cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
