The Forever Purge, which debuted in theaters over the Fourth of July weekend, featured a “Goat Tote” fabricated at Sumner-based Northeast Gate Company.
“We were very excited for one of our products being sought out for such a well-known movie franchise,” Northeast Gate Company Co-Owner Randy Knowles said. “We consider it an honor and can’t wait for the next opportunity.”
Knowles said they were asked to add a solid medal top to the cage and leave it unpainted.
“They wanted a ‘raw’ effect to blend in well with the context of the movie,” he said. “Some of the features seen in the movie were not added by us. Our ‘Goat Tote’ cages are meant for animals, not to catch humans.”
Knowles said the gate company was contacted at the beginning of 2020 for the project, just before the start of the pandemic.
He included the Northeast Gate Company has sold products to several zoos across the nation, feeders have been sent to the university in Alaska for yaks and feeders for giraffes in the United Arab Emirates.
