Detroit FFA student, Matthew Marquez was announced Monday night as the new 2019-2020 Area VI FFA Association Secretary.
“This is a huge honor and accomplishment for Matthew, his family, our FFA Chapter, our school, and our community,” said Detroit FFA. “We are very proud of you Matthew.”
Detriot FFA said Marquez spent four months studying, filling out applications, taking tests, interviewing, giving speeches, and traveling many miles,
Matthew was elected Monday night at the Area VI FFA Convention in Sulphur Spring to serve over the 96 schools and over 12,000 FFA members of Area VI by his peers.
