Everyone is welcome to an upcoming community revival, put together by multiple churches in the surrounding area, at First Baptist of Deport from Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
The speaker will be Dr. Jeffery Campbell, a Criswell College Associate Professor of Preaching; W.A. Criswell Chair of Expository Preaching; Program Director of B.A. in Christian Ministry and M.Div. Multiple churches have come together to bring this revival to the community. Music will be lead by Casey Rivers, lead vocalist for Dove Award-winning Difference Media artist Canton Junction.
The weekend revival will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30. Saturday night, at 6:30 p.m., there will be bounce houses and pizza for all youth starting at 5 p.m. Shortly after Sunday’s 11 a.m. session, a potluck lunch will be served.

- Pattonville Baptist
Dr. Campbell has authored multiple publications, including, “Text-Driven Arrangement: Allowing Textual Structure to Inform Sermon Progression,” “The Prestige Challenge: The Danger of ‘Keeping Up with the Jones’ as a Preacher,” and more. Courses Dr. Campbell has taught include Church Planting/Revitalization Practicum I, Principles of Biblical Communication, Topics in Leadership and more.
Rivers has the “down home spirit of a Texan,” and has the voice to match. Rivers was born and raised in Lindale, and has appeared with country legends such as Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, Neal McCoy, Sara Evans, Jason Aldean, Big and Rich, the Gatlin Brothers, and more. Rivers has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry Stage, was runner-up on Season 4 of Nashville Star and, in 2008, toured with successful Christian music group, Beyond the Ashes.
