About 226,000 Kidde TruSense Smoke and Combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms have been recalled due to a risk of failing to alert consumers to a fire, according to the consumer product safety commission.
According to CPSC.gov, the alarm combination can potentially fail to alert consumers of a fire. It is recommended to contact Kidde immediately for a free replacement alarm.
The recall includes Kidde TruSense Smoke Alarms and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms series 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 printed on the back of the alarm. Only devices with the TruSense logo or “AMBER=FAULT” printed on the front are included in the recall.
