Until today, the nearest Buc-ee’s was over 100 miles away but now Texas’ favorite gas station is open in Melissa, Texas.

The business, located at 1550 N. U.S. Highway 75, offers customers nearly 100 gas pumps and a 50,000-square-foot store.

A press release announcing the new store’s grand opening said the Melissa location will offer “Buc-ee’s famous Texas Round-Up barbeque, a vast selection of beef jerky, numerous flavors of homemade fudge and, of course, Beaver Nuggets.”

Buc-ee’s was founded in 1982 and operated 36 stores in Texas and Alabama, including the New Braunfels location, which is the largest convenience store in the world.

So, what’s the big obsession with Buc-ee’s? Besides the fact you can buy everything from BBQ to fudge, t-shirts to the beloved beaver nuggets, the brand is known for having the cleanest bathrooms around.

Yes, you heard us correctly and it’s definitely something to put on your bucket-list to experience.
