A 34-year old woman is behind bars today after leading police on a high-speed chase Monday night that started in Hopkins County and ended in Lamar County near the Red River.
According to reports, a Hopkins County Sheriff Deputy attempted to stop Jessica Ashley Mannino for a traffic violation shortly after 9 p.m.
Mannino refused to stop and led officers on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds above 100 mph, through Delta County and the City of Paris before wrecking near the Lamar/Choctaw County line.
During the pursuit, Lamar County Sheriffs Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks, puncturing two tires before Mannino wrecked in the 9600 block of Hwy. 271 N and was arrested.
Mannino was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with Vehicle and Failure to Identify. She was arraigned in Lamar County and transported to Hopkins County Jail with bail set at $21,000.
