The much-anticipated Tyler’s Pizzeria is set to open Monday, Dec. 2 at 3610 N. Main Street.

Customers will be able to experience a 60-foot pizza , salad, soup, and pasta bar and let the kids (of all ages) play some arcade games while having a fun family-friendly night out.

“We will have pizza’s and an over-sized salad bar for the buffet as well as soups available,” said owner Tyler Tongson.

There is a 1,800 square foot video game room (arcade room) and a banquet room with its own hot plates and drink system.

Tongson, who has been in the fast-food restaurant business for 34-years, has seen first-hand what it takes to build and run a successful restaurant from his father.

“My father was the first Asian-American owner-operator in McDonald’s and brought the McDonald’s to Paris Texas in 1974.”

“I started working for him 35-years ago at the age of 12 and when we got out of McDonald’s we opened a Popeyes in Lawton, Oklahoma and I ran several restaurants there for him for about 15 years until I bought him out and then sold out to come home and start something in my hometown.”

Not only has Tongson graduated from Hamburger University at the top of his class in every course they offered, but while in business with Popeyes he earned the Gold Plate award which at the time was only given to one restaurant domestically.

“I feel that I’ve somewhat done my time with burgers and chicken and that pizza was the obvious next step for me and since doing franchising for almost 35-years I felt that I have the experience and knowledge to go about it on my own in my hometown.”

Locals will be able to dine in or take out with the possibility of delivery in the future.
