Two allegedly caught with drugs after police respond to a welfare check

Around 9 a.m. Monday morning, Paris police officers dispatched to the 1500 block of Lamar Ave regarding a welfare check.

“Officers made contact with Michael Atteberry and Holly Caffey and found heroin, fentanyl, mathamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia in the room,” said Paris Police LT John Berry.

Both, Atteberry and Caffey were placed under arrest for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor charge.
