Texas was named the top state on Site Selection Magazine’s Global Groundwork Index and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott released a statement thanking the state’s “premier workforce.”
According to a press release from Site Selection Magazine, this index identifies where billions of dollars in corporate facility activity intersect with billions of dollars in roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, pipelines, utilities, railroads and other major infrastructure projects to “lay the literal groundwork for prosperity,” said Adam Bruns, managing editor of Site Selection.
Gov. Abbott thanked Texas’ “premier workforce” for ranking #1 on the magazine’s Global Groundwork Index.
“Our state-of-the-art infrastructure and thriving business climate has kept Texas the top state for economic prosperity,” Gov. Abbott. “As our economy rebounds from the COVID downturn, we will continue strengthening our infrastructure, creating more jobs, and fostering a more prosperous economic environment for all Texans.”
According to its website, Site Selection Magazine publishes information for expansion planning decision-makers.
