Same great bakery, new location! Paris Bakery opened the doors at their new location this morning at 128 1st SW St in downtown Paris.

“We bought this half of the building in 2015 and it’s taken three years of construction to complete,” said owner Jennifer Long.

The building was originally a music store in 1916 before it was renovated in 1957 and turned into the drive-thru area for Liberty Bank.

“They ripped out the bottom store and made it Liberty Bank’s drive-thru area and since that closed its sat vacant,” said Long.

Paris Bakery opened 13 years ago across the fountain in downtown Paris but Long said they needed more room.

“We love being downtown and wanted to stay so this building is perfect and it gives us more space both for customers and also our staff in the kitchen.”

The new location features front and back outdoor dining areas and a feature wall with a hand-drawn map of Paris from 1885.

“We also have a new menu coming and are working on getting our beer and wine license,” said Long. “Everything will come in stages though.”

A neon sign is expected to go up today or tomorrow.

Jennifer and her husband Kit Lindsey also have a 2,500 sq. ft. apartment upstairs.
