The Paris Dragstrip is hosting the upcoming Red River Valley Shootout the weekend of July 3 through 5, the dragstrip announced on its Facebook page. The event will not have gold card entries or points for the weekend.
Gates will open at 3 p.m. Friday, July 3 with time trials to follow beginning at 6 p.m. Buybacks are permitted in the first or second rounds with top prize amounts of $1,500, $750 and $200 for the Superpro, Pro footbrake and Sportsman classes, respectively.
Grudge matches will take place beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, and time trials start at 1 p.m. Prize money on this day ranges from $75 to $5,000 depending on the class. First or second round buybacks cost $10.
For spectators not participating in the races, pit passes cost $25, $10 for general admission, $5 for children ages five to 11 years and all military spectators receive 10 percent off.
