Prairiland ISD’s newest head baseball and assistant football coach, Chris Peacock has been named a 2019 All-Star Coach by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

“We’re very excited to have Coach Peacock on staff as our head baseball coach and assistant football coach,” said Athletics Director Coach Greg Mouser. “He is a very knowledgable in his sport and exceptional in both baseball and football.”

Each year the THSBCA names a group of coaches in every classification who in turn select the team for the All-Star game.

“Typically to be selected you must be respected by your peers, worked within the association for a while and usually there is a vote from other baseball coaches on who will be named All-Star coaches.”

Coach Mouser said this recognition of Coach Peacock tells them they’re hiring the right people for the students at Prairiland ISD.

“It’s nice to have a coach who has a quality skill set in more than one sport and cares about both those sports,” said Mouser. “He is a multi-sport guy and cares about the kids, what’s going on and he wants every program to do well and we’re excited to have someone like him on our staff.”

Congratulations Coach Peacock on being named a 2019 All-Star Coach by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
