Paris police responded to a theft of a firearm call at 2:17 p.m. Friday, March 13, in the 1900 block of NW 30th St. The report indicated that a possible known suspect had stolen a pistol and other items from the residence. Police are continuing to investigate.
Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 10 block of NW 9th St at 4:44 p.m. Friday where two people were arrested. One passenger was found to have two misdemeanor Lamar County warrants and another passenger, identified as 26-year-old Cassandra Ann Hesler, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Both were arrested and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
At 11:11 p.m. Friday, Paris police conducted a security check at Lake Crook. Officers located 50-year old Glenn Frazier, of Honey Grove. Frazier was found to be in possession of a firearm and a criminal history search showed that he had been convicted of a felony crime in his past. Frazier was placed under arrest and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris police responded to the 800 block of NW 3rd St at 10:31 a.m. Saturday, March 14, in reference to a stolen vehicle. Officers located a silver 2008 Pontiac that was parked partially in the ditch. The vehicle was reported as stolen from the 300 block of SW 3rd St. The department is continuing the investigation.
Paris police later responded to a burglary of a residence that occurred in the 600 block of Grand Ave at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday. It was reported that someone had entered the residence through a window and had stolen several items. Police are continuing to investigate.
Later that evening at 8:36 p.m., Paris police responded to a business in the 3700 block of Lamar Ave in reference to a forgery. It was reported that the store clerk was alerted to someone having passed three-$100 bills that were obviously fake. The department is continuing to investigate.
Paris police responded to the 1000 block of NE 34th St at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in reference to a theft from a vehicle. It was reported that someone had entered the bed of a pick-up truck and stole two compound bows, plus equipment. The value of the theft was in excess of $3,800. The incident is currently under investigation.
