Paris Police Lt. James Mazy to retire Dec. 31 || THANK YOU for your service

Lt. James Mazy, a 27 year veteran of the Paris Police Department retires effective December 31, 2018, and begins his new career the next day as Justice of the Peace Precinct 1.

“James volunteered as a reserve police officer for 18 months before being hired as a dispatcher for the department. He began his paid police officer career in 1991. He has held two different supervisory roles in Uniform Patrol along with being a Lieutenant in CID,” said Chief of Police Bob Hundley.

Mazy has spent the last 14 years in CID, most recently, he has been the financial crimes investigator for the CID unit.

“We thank James for his many years of service to our community and wish him nothing but success in his new job,” said Hundley.
