Paris Mayor Steve Clifford has re-open parks, including Lake Crook, effective immediately. However, he is still encouraging residents to obey social distancing guidelines and wear masks.

“It is time to reopen our parks,” said Clifford. “I have instructed Mr. Gene Anderson to open all of our parks including Lake Crook.  I still want people to obey social distancing guidelines, and I encourage everyone to wear masks.”

The playground equipment and basketball courts will remain closed, but all other areas of our parks are now open.  Tennis courts are also open, but only for single tennis games.

“Please do not gather together in groups, but there is no problem with small family units that live in the same household congregating together. Everyone please be responsible and continue social distancing.  Take precautions to protect your own health as well as the health of your friends and neighbors.”

Clifford further said that camping at the lake is not yet allowed. Residents may visit but he said do not camp out overnight.
