As it experienced a few bumps prior to its seasonal start, Paris’ Downtown Pumpkin Patch is growing with excitement and is set to open Friday at 10 a.m.
According to Bridget Domengeaux, recreation supervisor, pumpkins start at $3 and go up. While the pumpkin patch is open, children may paint a pumpkin. Paint supplies and trimmings to decorate pumpkins will be available.
The pumpkin patch is in need of school organizations looking for community service hours, and individuals or companies who would like to volunteer. To volunteer or sign up for a school organization, contact Bridget Domengeaux at 903-784-9299 or 903-517-0724.
From Oct. 16 to Halloween, the Downtown Pumpkin Patch will open every Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. at the downtown burnout at 120 S. Main St.
