SSGT Cody Henry, with the Texas National Guard, will be in the parking lot of Nautilus Gym on the corner of Lamar Ave and N Collegiate until 2 p.m. today.
“My office is based at Camp Maxey up in Powderly, but I work a lot out of my ‘mobile’ office to talk to locals about the benefits of joining the Guard,” said Henry.
He added that the organization is currently offering college students fantastic opportunities as they can not only earn while studying; they also can receive signing bonuses to serve.
The National Guard is the reserve branch of the regular Army, and as such, those in the Guard serve one weekend a month and two weeks during the summer during their service.
SSGT Henry will be at the Paris location today until 2 p.m.; anyone can stop by and get information for themselves, friends or family.
