Paris police officers responded to the 700 block of Lamar Ave around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, regarding the warrant arrest of Jacob Unger. John Berry, Paris Police Lt., said Unger was found to have outstanding warrants for assault family violence/impeding breath, as well as, motion to revoke probation, and two misdemeanor warrants. The assault warrant relates an incident reported in November 2017, where Unger allegedly choked an individual.
Around 1 p.m., officers placed 23-year-old, Marcus Hooker, under arrest after making contact with him in the lobby of the Paris Police Department. Hooker was found to have multiple misdemeanor warrants, said Berry, and a felony warrant for evading arrest or detention. Hooker alleged to have fled on foot from officers during a traffic stop on January 25th. The charge against Hooker had been enhanced to felony, due to previous convictions.
