Cade Shawhart, senior Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) student from North Lamar High School, advanced to state after placing second at the area nursing competition on February 9.
The competition provides HOSA members with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills in clinical nursing through written and performing critical thinking skills.
The state competition will be held in April at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine. NLHS HOSA sponsor is Kristi Garner.
