On Monday, North Lamar Independent School District released an updated calendar and schedule of events for the 2020-21 school year. NLISD said all of its campuses will start school each day at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m.
North Lamar was the first school district in the area to push its first day of school back to Tuesday, Sept. 8 in accordance with COVID-19 concerns. The last day of school at NLISD will be Friday, June 4, 2021.
As it stands, North Lamar students will get the entire week of Monday, Nov. 23 off for Thanksgiving Break, while Christmas Break begins Monday, Dec. 21. New Years Day of 2021 marks the final day of the holiday. NLISD’s Spring Break will run from Monday, March 15 through Friday, March 19. Other days off in the upcoming school year include Monday, Sept. 7, Monday, Jan. 18, Monday, Feb. 15, Friday, April 2, and Monday, May 31.
