Lamar County Human Resources Council, Inc. and Meals on Wheels will be extending the temporary closure of our four Senior Centers; Pshigoda and Washington Centers in Lamar County, Clarksville Center in Red River County, and Cooper Center in Delta County.
“While we had anticipated reopening July 1, 2020, we believe it is in the best interest of our clients that we remain closed through the month of July. At the present time, we have set a new reopen date of August 1, 2020. Should this date change again, we will release that information to the public,” said Executive Director Shelly Braziel.
While those centers have been and will remain closed, meals are still being provided to those congregate clients, through a pickup or home-delivered option. Congregate clients who have no set up their meal receipt option can contact their case manager at (903) 784-2580.
