After falling at home in five close sets in their district opener to Gilmer, the Paris Lady Wildcats bounced back in a big way against their next opponent on Friday. The Lady ’Cats rebounded with a strong win at Pittsburg in straight sets. Paris claimed the win by a final score of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-9.
Paris played well up front in the win over the Lady Pirates with team totals of 37 kills and 13 blocks. The Lady ’Cats were successful behind the service line as well, recording 11 aces as a team.
Senior middle blocker Hannah Gibbons led the charge with 11 kills, 5 blocks, and 1 dig, while junior Macey McAmis recorded 8 kills, 5 digs, and 5 aces. Fellow juniors Presli Chapman and Lilly Lewis had an impact on the win as well. Chapman finished with 6 kills, 4 blocks, and 1 ace, while Lewis totaled 5 kills, 31 assists, 6 digs, 1 block, and 1 ace.
