Kiwanis Pancake Days to serve over 11,000

The 67th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Days kicked off early this morning with hundreds already turning up to get their share of pancakes.

“When we first started Pancake Days we fed around 300 people, this weekend we will feed over 11,000 people,” said Kiwanis Club of Paris cooking coordinator, Robert High.

In addition to the hundreds of pancakes served, patrons can also get sausage patties plus orange juice, milk, and water to wash it down.

The Kiwanis Club of Paris will be flipping pancakes till 8 p.m. this evening and from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 3rd. at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds Community Exhibit Center at 590 East Center Street.

All funds raised are utilized for serving people in Lamar County supporting Imagination Library of Lamar County, Texas Ramps Project, Education Scholarships for Key Club, Downtown Food Pantry, local schools Bully Prevention Programs, Lamar County Crime Stoppers, Camp Kiwanis at Pay Mayse Lake, holiday food baskets, Veterans Day poppies, the Senior Santa at local nursing homes, and many other organizations.

Tickets are $7.00 at the door.
