The North Lamar and Paris Marching Bands were honored during the Crosstown Showdown Football Games when Mayor Dr. Steve Clifford presented the drum majors keys to the city for advancing to state.

“I cannot express to you how proud I am to be mayor of the city that calls TWO of these fantastic high school bands home!” said Clifford.  “On behalf of the entire City of Paris, to the members, staff, and parents of the Paris High School and North Lamar High School bands, I extend my congratulations, and wish you the best of luck Wednesday.  In recognition of your accomplishments, I award you this Key to the City!”

Both bands will be competing at the State Marching Band Contest on Wednesday, November 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

North Lamar will perform at 11:15 a.m. and Paris will perform at 3:00 p.m.  North Lamar High School will show the live performance for staff and students in the auditorium.
