The Holderness family, famous for creating parody songs, are getting in on the “Baby It’s Cold Outside” controversy releasing a modern version of the song.

The tongue-in-cheek Holderness version, “Baby, Just GO Outside,” has over 32 million views in 20 hours as of Tuesday morning.

The original 1940s song has come under fire recently for its lyrics with multiple radio stations across the country banning the classic Christmas tune after some listeners voiced concern about the song’s “predatory undertones”.

However, the Holderness family wanted to offer a modern twist “safe” for radio.

The woman’s voice says, “I simply must go,” and instead of the man responding, “but, baby you’ll freeze out there,” the revised version goes, “Uber is right outside.”

Other lyrics include, “understood – no means no” and “you’re free to go” which align with the values of today’s #MeToo movement.
