Detroit ISD has named Jordan Wood as the Eagle’s Head Football Coach.
Coach Wood comes to Detroit from Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD where he was the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Athletic Director for the past 4 years.
During his time at Daingerfield, they won three district championships and had back to back quarterfinal appearances in 2018 and 2019. Before Daingerfield, he spent two years as the Offensive Coordinator at Woodville High School where they had their first seven-win season in 18 years.
Wood brings his wife Heather and their two sons, Cutter and Brett.
“Coach Wood is eager to get to work with his athletes and is excited to become a part of the Detroit coaching staff and community,” said Detroit ISD. “Coach Wood has met with a handful of Detroit athletes already and can’t wait to get to work with such great young men.”
