Allergy season is well and truly here! And, if you didn’t know, studies have shown that local honey can improve your symptoms and provide much-needed relief.

With that being said, if you’ve never been down to the Farmers Markets, then there’s a good chance that you haven’t heard of Bee Sweet Paris

This new, yet established, business in downtown Paris has what you have been searching for with local honey and handmade bee products.

With honey direct from the hives to products with infused flavors like lip balm and hand lotions, visiting Bee Sweet Paris located at 2nd NE Street is a must.

The brains and beauty behind this unique little shop are Miriam Coronado, Elizabeth Cardenas, and Glee Emmite. The ladies, who originally met at church, finally came together to open Bee Sweet Paris.

“My husband is a second-generation beekeeper,” said Coronado, “when we moved here from Mexico, we fell in love with Paris and decided to produce honey as we did back home.”

Coronado, whose husband works as a full-time engineer in Plano, explained that after a hurricane took out their hives years ago, it seemed fitting to rebuild the business here in Northeast Texas.

From then on, the couple began building their hive counts and are continuing to grow at a steady pace.

“We saw a need for the product here outside of the Farmers Market,” said Cardenas.

Cardenas went on to say that after such a successful season at the Farmers Markets, the girls were constantly asked where people can buy their products once it closed.

Their honey is their staple, and Coronado explained that she learned how to produce a high-quality product from her husband.

“We take our time to create our products right. Infusing flavors into the honey takes time, the same for the honey butter, that takes up to two weeks to create,” she explained.

Each handcrafted product holds a uniqueness to it, and the whole process is kept as organic as possible from start to finish.

Bee Sweet Paris has set up their cozy little shop with Emmite’s Paris Gifts products just set off Lamar Ave. The trio not only share a love of creating products for the community they love but also share the connection of their faith which is what ultimately brought them together.

Now settling into their new location, the group is excited to offer a flurry of locally handcrafted products that are made with love for everyone to enjoy.

Bee Sweet will be offering 10 percent off each purchase until Oct. 12, as a special thank you to those that purchase during their first week of business.

The shop will be open Tue.- Fri. 10:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Sat. 10:00-4:30 p.m., you can also find them on Facebook @beesweetparis
