When Dawson Wooten decided he was going to propose to his girlfriend of 10-months, Jessie Graves he knew exactly how he wanted to do it.

“I had seen videos of police officers helping out with proposals on the internet but I never knew how I would be able to pull something like that off,” said Dawson.

With a little help from Fannin County officers Deputy Vanity Graves and Sergeant Cody Dixon, Dawson was able to pull off his dream proposal to an unsuspecting now fiance.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all. We were supposed to be going to Walmart,” laughed Jessie. “I felt all kinds of emotions like how dare you scare me like that but then I felt so much love.”

Jessie added that while she couldn’t hold back to tears, she also felt like slapping him for making her worry when pulled over by Sgt. Dixon.

“I couldn’t have pulled it off without the help of Deputy Graves and Sgt. Dixon. A huge thanks goes out to them and the Fannin County Sheriffs Department for helping to make my dreams come true,” said Dawson.

The couple is planning an outside wedding but the date has not yet been set.

Congratulations Dawson and Jessie on your engagement.
