Dorothy Onedia Moore, 86, of Paris, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Morton and Rick Jordan officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowbrook Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends from 6:30 PM till 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home .
Mrs. Moore was born on April 11, 1931, in Lamar County, a daughter of Velmer and Lillie Mae Kirkpatrick Canida. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church and was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for 31 years. She loved doing genealogy and craft work but her passion was child care.
She married Wendell R. Moore on February 25, 1956 in Paris. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris Barnes and brother, J.D. Canida.
Survivors include her daughter, Anita Moore of Paris, brother, Tommy Canida and wife Donna of Paris, sister-in-law Greta Moore of Sherman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Loggins, Tony Watkins, Ralph Hoffman, Wayne Barnes, Aaron Barnes and Benny Plata.
