David M. Srader, 88, of the Sumner community

David M. Srader, 88, of the Sumner community, passed away November 28, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1st at 1pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm in the Gene Roden Memorial Chapel at Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors, 425 S. Church St, Paris, Texas, with Rev. Clayton Wagner officiating.

Mr. Srader was a devout Christian who never failed to study his bible daily. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. He served in the Army National Guard & Reserves, where he attained a ranking of Sergeant 1st Class at discharge. He was a retired firefighter for the City of Tulsa with 20 plus years of service. He was in the car business the majority of his life and had a love of classic cars. He was a member & officer of many organizations over the course of his career. Anyone who knew him, knew he was an avid fisherman, jokester, and so enjoyed spending time with the guys.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin & Chloe Srader, his daughters, Patti Simmons and Karen Spannagel. He is survived by the love of his life, Marilyn; canine buddy BB; his children, David Srader, Jr., Jason Srader, Pam Johnson, Rhonda Cassata, Kim Galipeau; grandchildren, Chris, Brooke, Katelyn, Christian, Taylor, Madalynn, Srader and Nico.

The burial will be private for family only at the Hopewell Cemetery.
