The Paris-Lamar County Health District has been notified of an eighth death related to COVID-19.
Officials said this death was in an 82-year old male who was a resident of Paris Healthcare Center nursing home. Earlier Wednesday, the seventh death was confirmed in a 65-year old woman who was not affiliated with any nursing homes.
Four more positive cases of coronavirus were also confirmed on Wednesday. Those cases are in a 25-year old female, a 58-year old female, a 62-year old female, and a 71-year old female.
At this time, Lamar County has 109 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, seven are travel related and 102 community spread.

Age 10-19: 2 male, 1 female
Age 20-29: 1 male, 8 females
Age 30-39: 6 males, 5 females
Age 40-49: 4 male, 11 females
Age 50-59: 5 males, 9 females
Age 60-69: 14 males, 17 females
Age 70-79: 5 males, 10 females
Age 80 plus: 6 males, 5 females
