Louisville, Kentucky, might be over 750 miles away but one little boy battling cancer has one birthday wish that we can all be a part of.

On Oct. 17, Carter Willett, who is battling a rare form of cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma, will celebrate his 10th birthday and his only wish is to receive birthday cards – and lots of them.

His dad, Joshua Wolfman Willett posted on Facebook, asking to send cards.

“This is my son Carter. He also goes by Courageous Carter. For the past year he has been battling Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare cancer. His birthday is October 17th and he’ll be 10 and all he wants this year is birthday cards. We told him we’d try to get him as many as we could. Our address is 2825 Elam Drive, Louisville KY 40213. Thank you.”

The post has already been shared over 550 times.

Carter’s mom, Kimberly, said the family has been overwhelmed by the response on social media.

“I think he’s still doesn’t truly believe that it’s real. Like, I said, ‘You’re going to get a lot of birthday cards’ and he said, ‘Really?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, you are.’ He’s still like, ‘I don’t know’,” she told KHOU.

To send Carter a card please address them to 2825 Elam Drive, Louisville, KY 40213.
