Can you give LJ a home this Christmas ?

Little Lee Roy is looking for a fur-ever home as the Paris Fire Department feels he needs a family that can give him the constant love and attention he deserves.

“He’s a great little dog,” said Driver Engineer Dustin Huff. “But with three rotating shifts, it’s difficult to give him a stable training environment.”

Little LJ, as the boys in the department affectionately know him as, came to them after his previous owner was unable to give him the proper care.

Since that day, the boys were able to get him vetted to ensure he was healthy and up to date with all his vaccinations. And now it’s time for him to become a part of someone’s family. Huff also mentioned that LJ loves to spend time outside and he is gettng more confident with his basic training.

“He’s a happy little dog and is getting better with his crate training,” said Huff.

If there is a family that is willing to adopt little LJ, the boys say they will also have a crate, some blankets, leashes, and bowls for his food and water.

“We hope there is a family that can adopt him because as much as we enjoy having his company, it’s just not fair on him to have so many people involved in his training and not being able to give him the love and home he deserves,” Huff explained.

If you are interested in adopting LJ, you can call Station 4 on 903-785-6919 and have a chat with the firefighters on shift.
