“Hakuna Matata…what a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata! Ain’t no passing craze, It means no worries, for the rest of your days.”

Oh, I didn’t mean to interrupt, but it would appear that the ever popular Build-A-Bear was humming along to that one song as they added Disney’s The Lion King to their collection just a few days ago.

You heard correctly, as the highly anticipated live version gets set to hit cinemas around the world later this month, what better way to celebrate than with your own cuddly friend.

Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa are apart of the Build-A-Bear pride now, and they are available in-store and online.

According to simplemost.com, “If you decide to head to your local Build-A-Bear to join the lion pride instead of ordering online, you’ll find special activities — like a special heart ceremony — and photo opportunities. On select weekends this summer (July 19-21,  July 26-28, and August 2-4), you’ll also be able to participate in movie-themed activities and receive an exclusive movie poster.”

Even more exciting is that you can also purchase a  sound chip to enjoy which features “I just can’t wait to be king”, or “ “Nants’ Ingonyama (Circle of Life)” to listen or sing along to- whichever you are feeling at the time. Both songs are an additional $8 each.

The stars of the show, of course, have different costs as young Simba and Nala will set you back $29 each; while the grown-up King Simba will cost $35 and Queen Nala $32 each.

Pumbaa will set you back $32 and Timon is only $15, just be aware though Timon is only 9inches in size according to the Build-A-Bear website.

The Lion King Collection also boasts accessories and gift sets for those collectors who are looking for a slightly more traditional ‘bear’ to add to their collection.
