The Texarkana Court of Appeals has reversed 19-year-old Ashley Eva Morrison murder conviction.

The Sixth Appelate District Court of Appeals has reversed the original judgement and remanded the case to the trial court for a new trial.

It was ruled that Morrisons 6th amendment rights were violated due to prosecutorial misconduct and ineffective assistance of counsel.

Morrison, of Lamar County, was found guilty of the murder of 66-year-old Annie Lois Sims.

On July 27, 2017, a jury sentenced her to 30 years in prison, of which she will have to serve 15 before she is eligible for parole
