The Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley made history during its annual auction Friday night, bringing in more than $255,000.
Montgomery Moore with the Boys and Girls club said the support for Friday’s auction was “truly overwhelming.”
“Our community always comes through to support our efforts,” he said. “There were some very important people to the club and our community who passed away this year. Those cash donations for memorials brought in more than $63,000. That was the big difference in this year’s auction.”
The 2019 auction brought in more than $196,000, which then was record-breaking.
“It was truly overwhelming the amount of support we received this year,” Moore said. “Every cent of that money will be spent to help the kids in our community and continue to provide a positive place for youth.”
