After a family lost their home and 6-year-old Jordyn suffered severe burns in a house fire early Friday morning, a fundraiser was created to help alleviate hospital bills and help the family recuperate from losing.
Kristine Gray, who is hosting the fundraiser for the family, said Jordyn was able to get himself and his older brother out of the burning house.
He said he, “had to be his big brother’s superhero.”
While the older brother suffered less severe burns and was treated for them in Paris, Jordyn was transferred to Plano Medical City. Afterward, he was again transferred to Parkland hospital in Dallas to get needed treatment.
Gray said Jordyn will undergo several surgeries due to the burns’ severity.
“Due to COVID-19 complications, his family has to provide their own hotel accommodations or gas money to get back and forth to be with Jordyn during this difficult time, along with missing work, taking care of Jayden (Jordyn’s older brother) and having lost everything,” Gray said.
“Help me help this family regain everything they’ve lost 10-fold and help me pray for Pook (Jordyn) and his family’s complete healing from this trauma.”
At $1,775, the fundraiser is more than halfway to its $3,000 goal. To donate directly to the fundraiser online, click here, or contact Gray by calling 903-487-8404.
