It’s a battle of the badges as the boys in blue get set to take on the boys in red on the basketball court on April 18.

“The series is tied one and one! This will be the tiebreaker for the series,” said event organizer Billy Jordan.

The firefighters took the win over the boys in blue in its inaugural year. But come the second game last year, the law enforcement team had their eye firmly on the win.

During the game, the scores were tight, and the thirst for a win was clearly seen from both sides though it ended up with the boys in blue taking the win, trophy, and bragging rights for the year.

Now slugged for April 18, Jordan is hoping the fun rivalry game of basketball will continue to grow and become a staple for the community and first responder families.

Paris High School Crimestoppers are once again hosts of the game, and the fundraiser provides scholarship opportunities to local students who look to obtain a higher education.

Local businesses are invited to join in as a sponsor of the event. A $100 sponsorship will see you receive an event t-shirt, advertisement throughout the Paris High School main gym, and five free tickets to the event.

For those looking to sponsor the event or donate to the live and silent auction, you can contact Billy Jordan at billy.jordan@parisisd.net or Amber Musgrove at amber.musgrove@parisisd.net

“Come out and join us this year for a great time and cheer on your local first responders,” said Jordan.
